A Lifetime Dedicated To Horses
Mel's passion for horses began at the age of six and has grown into a lifelong career dedicated to dressage, horse sales, and equine evaluation. After discovering dressage as a young rider, Mel set her sights on developing horses herself and went on to train and compete through the highest levels of the sport.
With her longtime partner GaDeva, Mel earned her USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals and was named the 2017 US Dressage Finals Open Grand Prix Champion. Today, she continues to train and develop horses while helping clients achieve their goals through dressage training, horse sales, European horse buying trips, and professional equine appraisals.
Mel became an ASEA Certified Equine Appraiser in 2024 and brings more than 25 years of hands-on experience to every horse and client she works with.
From young horses to Grand Prix competition, European horse buying trips, professional sales representation, and certified equine appraisals, Melanie Montagano helps clients make confident decisions and achieve their equestrian goals.
